A Morning with Mozart - March 12/04

We were fortunate enough to be involved with the CANARIE/Musicgrid project entitled "A Morning with Mozart". Students had a chance to interact and build knowledge together with National Arts Centre Music Director, Pinchas Zukerman and National Librarian Roch Carrier on the music, life and times of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Students interacted with other sites around the short story "Buzz, Moz and the Bees" as well as video clips from the film Amadeus. Groups from each of the sites performed pieces by Mozart.

Our students really really enjoyed this session. They came to the VC with a bit of background on who Mozart was and what he accomplished. The session precisely fit the needs of our students to further their investigation of Mozart.

Our violin students performed a two part version of Twinkle--and received some positive feedback from Mr. Zukerman!! The students genuinely enjoyed themselves. Perhaps this was one of our best multisite sessions this year!

Ready for an exciting morning with Mozart.
Six different sites joined in.
We performed "Twinkle" in two parts.
Mr. Zukerman offered some advice!
