Sometimes children who are being
bullied are
too frightened
to talk to their teachers or even to their parents.
It is perhaps worth mentioning
some of the signs
that may indicate that a child is being bullied.

Children who are being bullied
may:
|
- be reluctant to go to
school.
- start performing badly at
school.
- lose their
appetites.
- cry in their
sleep.
- have
nightmares.
- come home with torn clothing
or missing possessions
but be unable to give plausible accounts of what has
happened.

|
If a child does talk to you about
being bullied, do take him or her seriously.
Children who are being bullied are likely to feel
lonely,
vulnerable and powerless.
They need your support.
