Stories about Bullying

The following stories about bullying are from the grade 6 class in Aupaluk. There will be more stories soon.

Bullying

Bullying sometimes happens at our school. Sometimes bullies try to take our hat or our mitts. Sometimes the bully teases us and calls us mean names. Sometimes the bully even tries to fight people for no reason. When the bully is bugging or fighting other students, we should tell our teacher or principal. If we just ignore the bully, he will not stop bugging people.

If I was Bullied
Most of the time bullies don't bug me. Sometimes I see a bully bugging other students and it makes me mad. I won't try to fight the bully because it might make him more mad. If I was bullied, I would tell an adult. Maybe I would tell my teacher or the principal. When a bully picks on smaller kids, he can make them have low self esteem.

Being a Bully
Sometimes a bully will make smaller students cry. They pick on small kids so they can feel cool. But it is not cool to be a bully. The bully should try to be friends with students instead of always fighting. If the bully was more friendly, he would be happier to have friends.
