Making Pizza
Italy

First, we mixed the sugar and warm water together.

After 10 minutes we
mixed the yeast into the warm liquid.

The egg
was ready to be added to the liquid too.

The flour and salt were measured in a large bowl.
A well was made in the center so the liquid could be poured into it.

The liquid was slowly poured
into the flour and salt mixture.

The boys did a great job.

After everything was mixed together
a ball was formed.

Noah kneaded the dough.

Once the ball was smooth and satiny it was covered in a greased bowl
for about an hour until double in bulk.

Wow, did the dough ever rise!
Look at it now!

Minnie removed the ball of dough
from the bowl.

Cheese, Sharon!

Everyone had a chance to
flatten out the ball.

The next step was stretching out the dough
in the lighly oiled pizza pan.

Stretching it out can
sometimes be difficult.
Two hands are better than one.

Minnie fried the bacon!

The boys grated the cheese.

Grating
cheese can be scary for the fingers.
Be careful, SonnyBoy!

Jeannie cut the orange peppers.

Minnie cut the pepperoni!

Thomas cut the onions!

Everyone was actively doing something.

We prepared lots of vegetables:
Mushrooms, orange peppers, red peppers, yellow peppers, green peppers and lots of
yummy cheese!

Meat toppings for our pizza.
Perfect!

Spreading the sauce!
We're getting there.
Everyone had a chance to add their favourite topping.
What a treat from Italy!

We love pizza!
