Kuujjuaq is a community which is just a little bit southwest of our
village. It is the biggest community in all of Nunavik. Kuujjuaq started
a charr incubator in 2000 which was very successful. We often talked
with people involved in the Kuujjuaq Charr Project for advice on our
own incubator. We also hinted that we would be very interested in
visiting their incubator. |

We went to Kuujjuaq on March 20 only for a day. All our class went to Kuujjuaq except Nancy. Allen and Mary were bringing us everywhere we had to go. We were walking to the Air Inuit office. Jean gave me something to put on our parka or something. It was a nice, beautiful and warm day. We were at the old water station to see the charr fry. Allan had over 98 000 charr fry. There were 15 bigger charr and they were 1 year old. I think they hatched last year. The small charr fry hatched on December 25. All our classmates had money to buy some things. In the restaurant we were eating poutine, pop and a chicken burger. I saw some of my cousins at the restaurant. We saw Harvey at the restaurant too. After we ate we went to Umiaq Builders Inc and somebody gave us a calendar, a movie tape, and a big bag. Before we went to Kuujjuaq Jari's cousin hugged and kissed Jari. When we went to Kuujjuaq I had a stomach ache. We went to a store called Niuvikvik. Some students bought some junk food. We went to the arena and we went bowling. My team was Joe, Frankie, Sapina and I. We went driving around a little bit and Jordan was bugging me and I took his hat and I dropped it. Jordan was trying to take my nassak but I put his cap on the road. We were looking at fish and beluga skin or teeth on a microscope TV. Nancy and her friend were following us a little bit. Allan was showing us fish stuff. Allan said that he gets some eggs or fish in the lake with a flash light and nets. Sometimes I followed Mary and Allan on a truck. Allan gave us a cap, pen, bags and something else. Jordan wanted everything from Allan. I was trying to call my dad and I didn't like the phone. Sometimes I saw my cousins and they were happy that I was in Kuujjuaq. Allan had 24 hatching trays in the old water station. Before we went to the airport we went Inutsiutik and we bought some nikuk. We went back at 6:30pm. We had a lot fun, fun, fun in Kuujjuaq. By
