We
took some males and females that looked ready.
Jimmy and Tooma carried the fish to our work station under the tarp. |
These
big males were definitely ready.
Tooma
squeezed the eggs out.
There
are about 5 000 eggs in one fish.
Mary
put the milt on top of the eggs.
The
eggs and milt had to be mixed with a goose feather.
Jimmy
squeezed some eggs out too.
He
added the milt.
Kevin
mixed the eggs with a feather.
Tooma
prepared the eggs to be transported to Kangiqsualujjuaq.
All
the fish were cleaned so they could be eaten.
