. I am a grade seven teacher at Ulluriaq school. I've been working in our community for 14 years now. I am always impressed by the tundra and the beautiful blueberries that I pick with my students in my grade 7 class. We made yummy, blueberry pancakes in class the next day. All students looked forward to eating them. They later wrote some very, berry good stories about their outing.
Anne
The girls always took digital photos of us. Only few boys took pictures. We had a ride to the Old Water Point. We saw a small fish. Sonny Boy, Angutinguaq and I saw a dead caribou. Noah and I saw lots of blackberries and blueberries. Ned Lidd got the most blackberries and Noah too. All the boys took off. Anne and Sonny Boy got the most blueberries. I ate blackberries and blueberries. I helped Noah pick berries. Billy May warned us to go back. We walked back. My house was the closesst and my classmates were far. David, Angutinguak and I were just eating berries. Sonny Boy saw a knife and it was Billy May. Anne took digital photos. I always saw blackberries and blueberries. Billy May was driving a bulldozer. Some people got a ride on the hunter's support truck. In school we ate blackberries. We cooked pancakes with blackberries and blueberries.
Thomas
At 1:15 we left to pick berries. Charlie rode the bus. Isaw a small fish. Sonny Boy saw a fox's house. It was asunny day and the wind was warm. It was a beautiful day but there were lots of black flies and mosquitos. It was fun. Girl took many pictures. Julius was absent. We went to the Old Water Point. I drank the water. I saw lots of blueberries and blackberries. Sonny Boy saw a knife. Billy May drove a bulldozer. Ned Emudluk was absent. Sharon was sad. I saw caribou meat. Girls always took a pictures. I saw a dog. I saw a small dog.

Angutinguak
Last week we went berry picking. We got a ride from the school bus. We went to Old Water Point beside the cabin. It was fun to berry pick with the class. I went up the hill. I saw lots of spiders. The boys were excited. They were scattered. We couldn't see any boy. Only girls took pictures. The boys were jealous. There were lots of berries. There were lots of blackberries, blueberries and redberries. Sonny Boy saw a fox's house. Ned Annanack found a trap and a tea kettle. Ning's pot was broken because it was a plastic. Girls used Anne's camera. My uncle, Billy May saw a black bear. He was driving a bulldozer. Anne was getting scared so we went back. We saw Maxcell. He was mean. We were scared. Somebody was taking pictures of her. We walked a little bit more and we saw a cute little puppy. Then we got a ride from the bus. We went to school and put the berries in the refrigerator.

Martha
We had a lot of fun. Some people ate a lot of berries. We went to the Old Water Point. There were lots of berries. Sonny Boy saw a fox's house. The day was warm and sunny. There were many black flies and mosquitoes. There was a bear on the beach. We picked blueberries red berries blackberries. Ned and Julius were absent. We saw some small fish in the creek. Girls took photos. The dog had puppies. The boy left. We came back by bus and the hunter's support truck. We put berries in the refrigerator. On Monday we made pancakes and Qallunat suvalik. I ate six pancakes. I was cleaning berries for suvalik. Billy May was driving a bulldozer. Yesterday was a good day.

Minnie
On Friday we went berry picking. Only girls took photos of us. We saw many small fish in creek. Ned E. went camping and Julius was sick. There were many black flies. It was a sunny day. We went there by bus. Billy May saw a black bear. Thomas just ate his berries. We saw a fox trap. I picked lots of berries. There was a black bear. I drank fresh water . The water was good. Anne took pictures of us. Sonny saw a fox's house. The wind was light. Some kids went to school by the hunter's support truck. Billy May saw a black bear on the beach. Anne was worried. Noah just picked blackberries. Billy May drove a bulldozer. A dog was growling at us. On Monday we made pancake and we made Qallunat suvalik. I drank milk and juice.

David
We went to the Old Water Point. l picked blackberries and blueberries. Anne took digital photos. The day was sunny and warm. Sonny saw a fox's house. Martha was eating berries. Billy May saw a bear. Anne was worried. Berry picking was fun. We made pancakes and Qallunat suvalik. l like to eat pancakes with berries. l saw a small fish in the water. l was happy to go berry picking and making pancakes. l ate three pancakes. We saw blackberries, redberries and blueberries.

Jeannie
We had a bus ride to the Old Water Point. There were lots of berries. I picked blackberries and blueberries. Sonny Boy saw a fox's house. The day was good and it was sunny, warm and light wind. It was beautiful and fun. Ned E. was camping and Julius was sick. Anne picked blueberries and I picked blackberries and blueberries. Girls took photos and some of the boys took photos too. Martha and I ate lots of blueberries and blackberries. I saw lots of mosquitoes and black flies. We saw small fish. They were in the creek and there were lots of fish. Sunny Boy saw a knife too. Anne took digital photos. Billy May saw a bear. He warned us that it was at the beach. We left since Anne was worried. We went to school and some students went home. Some boys were riding by hunter's support truck. I went by school bus. We came back to school. We put the berries in the refrigerator. On Monday we made pancakes and we made Qallunat suvalik. We drank juice and milk. They were good pancakes and so was the Qallunat suvalik. It was FUN, FUN. Billy May was driving a bulldozer.


Minnie
We picked lots of berries near the Old Water Point. I like to pick blackberries. We saw lots of small fish. Anne took lots of digital photos. Sonny saw a small fox's house. It was sunny and cloudy day. It was warm, too. I like to go berry picking. We saw five puppies. They were small. We were on the bus going to pick berries. Thomas ate lots of black and blueberries. Billy May was driving the bulldozer. Anne picked blueberries only. I like to drink fresh water. The hunter's support truck brought us to school. I would like to pick more berries. Billy May was scared when he saw a black bear. There were lots of black flies and mosquitoes. Lots of girls took digital photos. Lots of boys took off. We were inside the forest.
Ned
We went to the Old Water Point and we picked berries. The day was sunny, warm and there was a light wind. It was beautiful. There were lots of black flies and mosquitoes. Julius was absent because he was sick and Ned Emudluk was absent because he was camping. We saw some small fish in the water. The girls took some photos. We picked blackberries, redberries and blueberries. Sonny boy saw a fox house. I ate some berries, too. Billy May saw a bear on the beach. We left because our teacher was worried. We got a bus ride by Charlie. Coming back some people had a ride by the hunter's support truck. Billy May was diving a bulldozer. We cooked some pancakes and Qallunat suvalik. It was fun on Friday, September 14. I didn't pick many berries because I ate mine. I picked blueberries and blackberries. There were lots of berries at the Old Water Point. I think the bear was black. Anne took some digital photos. It was a good time.
Ningiukusuk
We went berry picking at 1:15. We went to the Old Water Point. I picked only blackberries. I hate blueberries because they are sour. Sharon, Sonny Boy, and Ned Lidd got a lift by the hunter's support truck. We saw big and small fish in the water. Sonny Boy was throwing rocks at the small fish. We didn't have a turn to take pictures. I didn't get many berries. Anne took pictures of us. I saw a caribou leg. Billy M ay was scared when he saw a black bear. Jeannie took pictures of a dog. I hate blueberry pancakes because they have blackberries. We were David, Minnie, Thomas, Sharon and I. We made more than sixteen pancakes. I ate only one pancake. I hate suvalik because it had dream whip.
Noah
There were a lot of berries and black flies and mosquitoes. Sonny Boy saw a fox's. We went to the old water point. It was a sunny day,warm with light winds. It was fun picking berries. We saw a lot of small fish. Thomas ate a lot of berries. Ned E was camping with his mom and dad. Noah picked a lot of black berries. Jeannie took photos of boys and girls. There were big blueberries. The fish were in the water. Billy May warned us when we were picking berries. We went to school and put our berries in the refrigerator. On Monday we made pancakes. It was fun. I ate four pancakes and suvalik. I drank orange juice. Anne ate two pancakes.
Qaajui
We got a bus ride from Charlie, the bus driver. We went to the creek. My bag was just a little bit full but I accidentally spilled some. Then I picked more. We saved them all. Anne took digital photos of us. The girls took photos. The boys were jealous because the girls took photos. There were lots of berries. There were blackberries, redberries and blueberries. Julius was sick and he didn't come and Ned E. was camping. Sonny Boy saw a fox's house. Billy May warned us because he saw a black bear by the beach. We left because our teacher was worried. We went back and we got a ride from the hunter's support truck. The other class got a ride from the bus, too. There were lots of black flies and mosquitoes. Thomas ate some berries. When we came back we put our berries in the refrigerator. On Monday, we made pancakes. We ate two each. Anne made some Qallunat suvalik. We stayed in the kitchen for three hours. It was fun making pancakes.
Sharon
I pick a lot of berries. I saw a fox house. I found a knife and it was long and big. Girls took the most pictures. My cup was almost full of berries. Billy May was driving a bulldozer. I saw small fish in the water and the water was splashing. When we were finished berry picking we put our berries in the refrigerator. On Monday we made pancakes and suvalik with dream whip. Billy May saw a bear on the beach. We went to the Old Water Point. Julius and Ned E. did not come. Ned A. picked the most berries. I was alone picking berries. There were lots of flies beside the trees. Thomas almost cut my hand with a knife. We were riding on the bus. We were waiting because we were riding on the hunter's support truck with Sharon, Minnie S. and Ned A. I gave the knife to Billy because he left it there. I saw the biggest fish in the creek.
Sonny Boy
