Yes there really will be electricity in the air this fall. We will discover how to build a windmill, actually a mini windmill that is capable not only of lighting a small bulb but also of charging batteries.

During this time of climate change, and as Nunavik possesses one of the best potential areas for windmills in the world, students who will be participating in this workshop will explore a wide variety of energy sources particularly wind energy. They will learn how to capture, transform and store this energy into electricity.

During this two day workshop, participants will observe properties linked to wind and energy, through questioning, they will explore, experiment and form conclusions that will allow them to develop and build the ideal propeller for their windmill. Do you prefer to wear the hat of a researcher, engineer, technician, entrepreneur, or maybe you have a hidden talent for design that will make its appearance in the decoration of your completed windmill? During this workshop you will have the opportunity to experience all of these aspects and many more. See more photos
